(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting an increase of 279 cases of COVID-19 in Tuesday’s daily update. The two-week daily average is 414 new infections. There is a total of 15,863 people now having tested positive. Three-point-six-percent (3.6%) of the roughly 7500 tests administered came back positive on Tuesday, continuing a declining trend in recent days with Monday’s percentage at 4.1 and Sunday at 5.5-percent. State public health officials reported three new deaths bringing the total to 517. Dodge County reported one new case, for a total of 162, with one death on record. The county had 99 negative tests returned for a total of 2,743. Fond du Lac County has five deaths reported and 179 people having tested positive. Washington County has experienced four deaths to date with 209 people testing positive. Jefferson County has reported three deaths and has a total of 90 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County and 38 positive cases. Green Lake County has 15 cases. Statewide, there have been 2,362 people requiring hospitalizations, which is 15-percent of those known to have contracted the virus. Nearly 60 percent of people infected with COVID-19 in Wisconsin have recovered.
