Wisconsin Department Of Health COVID-19 Friday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,504 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update, which is 16.6-percent of the 15-thousand tests announced. There are 17,170 active cases in the state, an increase of 855 from Thursday. Active cases make up 15.5-percent of the 110-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 92-thousand recoveries. State health officials recorded nine deaths Friday, for a total of 1,274. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.3-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 202-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 985-thousand. Dodge County has 14 deaths on record and 1,782 cases, no change from Thursday. The county had 393 negative tests returned for a running total of 22,659. Public health officials are actively monitoring 365 people while 1,015 have recovered. Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,497. Fond du Lac County has 1,953 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths. Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,331 cases to date. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 573 cases. Green Lake County now has 244 cases.
