(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,269 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 27,611 active cases in the state, a decrease of 251 from Thursday. Active cases make up 5.3-percent of the 518-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 485-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 32 deaths bringing that total 5,322. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the nearly two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 387-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County experienced 129 deaths and 10,872 cases, a one-day increase of 39 positive tests. The county had 96 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,692. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 405 people.
Washington County has seen 108 deaths, two more than Thursday, along with 12,717 cases to date; 824 are active cases.
Fond du Lac County has reported one additional death for a total 71 with 11,133 positive tests on record; 648 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has 62 deaths, an increase of one from Thursday, and 7,182 cases to date; with 386 active cases.
Columbia County recorded one death for a total 36 and 4,555 positive tests; there are 214 active cases.
Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,435 cases on record, 44 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
