(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 857 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update, which is 9.7-percent of the 8,800 tests announced. There are 8,169 active cases in the state. Active cases make up 9.8-percent of the 83-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 73-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 15 deaths Wednesday, for a total of 1,183. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 189-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 898-thousand.
Dodge County has six deaths on record and 1,326, an increase of 54 from Tuesday. The county had 118 negative tests returned for a running total of 20,076. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 178 people while 805 have recovered.
Washington County has now experienced 30 deaths along with 1,826 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,304 positive tests.
Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,007 cases.
There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 400 cases.
Green Lake County now has 114 cases.
