(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,271 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 18.7-percent of the 6,700 tests announced. There are 14,414 active cases in the state, an increase of 271 from Sunday. Active cases make up 14.1-percent of the 102-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 86-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded two deaths Monday, for a total of 1,244. Deaths accounted for 1.2-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 199-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 962-thousand.
Dodge County has nine deaths on record and 1,626 cases, an increase of 26 from Sunday. The county had 131 negative tests returned for a running total of 21,745. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 307 people while 947 have recovered, an increase of 33 since Friday.
Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,268 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 1,785 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths.
Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,229 cases to date.
There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 514 cases.
Green Lake County now has had 199 cases
