Wisconsin Coronavirus Friday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 832 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update, which is 5.4-percent of the 15,300 tests announced. There are 9,671 active cases in the state, a decrease of 181 from Thursday. Active cases make up 18-percent of the nearly 53-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 42-thousand recoveries.

There were 15 deaths reported by state health officials, for a total 934. Deaths accounted for 1.8-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8.8-perecent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 151-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 674-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 655 cases, an increase of 13 from Thursday. The county had 142 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,927. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 78 people while 328 have recovered.

Washington County has 22 deaths and 805 cases.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 529 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County five deaths along with and 544 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 213 positive cases.

Green Lake County now has 52 cases.
