Wide Variety Of DCCA Exhibits Planned For 2020

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Center for the Arts has several unique exhibits planned for the upcoming year. During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Stephanie Wiedenhoeft said there will be a dramatic art show beginning in July that will feature work created for the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre. She says the theatre will bring their scenery, set pieces, costumes, sketches for shows and props, among other various items. Wiedenhoeft says the community art show will return in October but this year there will be a slight twist. She says the exhibit will feature artwork by prisoners and will depict what it is like to be incarcerated or integrating back into society. Other exhibits include a photography, poetry and music show scheduled to begin this Friday. The high school art show starts in March and an abstract artwork exhibit opens in May.
