(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5,469 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 75,233 active cases in the state, a decrease of 660 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 20.4-percent of the 369-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 291-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 63 deaths bringing that total to 3,178. Deaths account for point-nine-percent (.09) of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 259-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 70 deaths, and posted 229 new cases for a total of 8,069 cases to date. The county had 165 negative tests returned, for a running total of 32,866.
Washington County is reporting three more deaths for a total of 68 deaths along with 116 new cases for a running total of 8,403 cases. Fond du Lac County has seen 46 deaths, with 8,110 positive tests on record. The state reports Jefferson County has 35 deaths and 5,062 cases to date. There have been 10 deaths in Columbia County where there have been 3,226 total cases. Green Lake County has logged five deaths and has 1,155 cases on record.
