WBEV Heads Back To Mother’s Day 2006 For Another Brewers Classic On Sunday

Sunday afternoon, 1430 WBEV’s “Winning Weekends” continues as we head back to Mother’s Day 2006 when the Brewers hosted the New York Mets at Miller Park.  Brewers infielder Bill Hall used a pink bat to club a walk-off home run with his mother in the stands to lift Milwaukee to the dramatic win.    The bat was later auctioned off as part of Major League Baseball’s efforts to raise money for breast cancer research.  Brewers owner Mark Attanasio purchased the bat for $25,000 and awarded it to Hall’s mother Vergie Hall.   Coverage of this “Brewers Classic” begins at 1pm Sunday afternoon.
