This week’s DailyDodge.com High School Team of the Week is the Columbus boys basketball team. As we head down the homestretch of the regular season, Ben Schambow’s squad is currently tied with Lake Mills on top of the Capitol North Conference.
After dropping their 1st three games of the season, the Cardinal’s got hot by winning 11 of their next 12 contests including winning their 1st five league games.
Senior Ben Emler leads Columbus in scoring at 21 points per game. Earlier this season Emler passed 1992 alum Erik Quamme to became the school’s all-time leading scorer. Fellow senior Alex Campbell also scores just under 10 points per game.
