Waupun’s Alysa Pattee won her opening match at the WIAA Division 2 State Tennis Meet in Kohler on Thursday. Pattee knocked off Alexa Robarge of Rice Lake in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Pattee (10-2) will face Racine St. Catherines/Lutheran’s Kate Smith (16-2) on Friday morning at 9:30am in round two.
In Division One, Watertown’s Aubrey Schmutzler dropped her first round match to Izzy Brinkman of New Richmond 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 in Lake Geneva on Thursday. Schmutzler finishes her year with a 12-6 record.
