Waupun Survey Seeks Feedback On Downtown Enhancements

(Waupun) The city of Waupun is seeking the opinions of its residents regarding potential streetscaping enhancements to the city’s downtown.  Waupun’s Community Development Authority (CDA) is conducting the survey seeking community input they can use in planning future downtown development.

Proposed enhancements could include additional landscaping, street trees, the addition of decorative paving, extended sidewalks, crosswalk identification, and wayfinding signage.  Another important inclusion in this survey is the potential inclusion of a public gathering place that could be utilized to host community and downtown events.

Plans created from the public survey will serve as a long-term guide for continual improvement of Main Street and adjacent cross streets while enhancing the appeal of the city’s downtown district.Residents can take part in the survey now through July 30, 2018 by visiting www.surveymonkey.com/r/WAUPUNWI.

Households without a computer or internet access can obtain hard copies of the survey at the City Hall or the Waupun Public Library.   For more information contact the Director of Economic Development, Kathy Schlieve, at 920-324-7912 or kathy@cityofwaupun.org.
