The Waupun Post 210 American Legion baseball team heads to Viroqua this weekend for the Single-A American Legion State Tournament. Post 210 (19-4) blew threw their Regional this past weekend knocking off Horicon 7-1, Belleville 8-2, and Horicon against 16-0 to earn their 9th trip to state in the last 10 seasons.
“I actually, had to look that up myself here this weekend.” Waupun Post 210 Coach Derrick Standke told DailyDodge.com “I didn’t know that looking back 2015 was the year we didn’t make it and actually we were undefeated going into the Regional Championship that year and Jefferson beat us twice down there that year, so we were one win away that year as well.”
Waupun will face St. Mary’s Springs (22-2) in their tournament opener on Friday night. Springs swept a pair of games this year from Waupun winning 9-1 on June 22nd, and 7-3 on June 29th.
