Waupun Police Had Busy Memorial Day Weekend

(Waupun) It was a busy Memorial Day Weekend for Waupun police. It started Friday evening when officers responded to the 500 block of North Madison Street for a report of a vehicle striking a mailbox and then leaving the scene. Deputy Chief Jeremy Rasch says a 31-year-old Waupun man was cited for Inattentive Driving. Early Saturday morning, police cited a 21-year-old Waupun woman for OWI First Offense. Later that day, officers were called to East Franklin Street at North Watertown Street for a two vehicle crash just after 1pm. Rasch says there were no injuries and a 17-year-old Waupun woman was cited for Failure to Yield. Roughly an hour later, a 71-year-old Brandon man was cited for Operating after Revocation after his vehicle was pulled over for reckless driving. A second two vehicle crash was reported around 4:20pm on South State Street. Rasch says a 27-year-old Burnett woman was cited for Operating after Revocation, Failure to Yield, and Operating without Insurance. There were no injuries.
