Here’s a look at Thursday night’s local results in the Badgerland Summer High School Baseball League
Waupun 12 Lomira/Theresa 2 – 5 innings
The bats stayed hot for Waupun as they blasted Lomira/Theresa 12-2 in five innings on Thursday night at Gus Thompson Field. Waupun put up four runs in the 1st, five in the 2nd, and three more in the 3rd to run away with the win. Noah Gerritson had a monster game going 3×3 with a double and 6 RBI. Jarrett Buchholz continued his hot hitting going 2×3, with a double and 2 RBI. Jaden White also doubled as six different Waupun players collected more than one hit in the game. Cole Hicken gave up two runs and three hits in the complete game five inning win. Waupun (7-3) will host Mayville on Monday night. They will throw the first pitch at 6:30pm at The Gus.
Mayville 4 Laconia 1
Jim Held struck out eight in four innings of work to pick up the win as Mayville edged Laconia 4-1 on Thursday night. Luke Fehring finished of the game, striking out three in three innings on the hill. Hunter Herpel went 2×4 with a run scored while Paddy McFadden went 1×2 with a walk and 2 runs scored. Mayville (5-1) will travel to Waupun on Monday night.
Monona Grove 11 Watertown 3
A six run third inning by Monona Grove lifted them to an 11-3 win at Watertown on Thursday night. Taylor Walter went 2×3 with a double and 3 RBI to lead the Watertown offense. Watertown (0-7) will host Oconomowoc at 7pm on Friday night.
