(Waupun) A Waupun man has been arrested on numerous drug related charges. Fond du Lac County authorities stopped a vehicle last Friday on Highway 151 near the town of Fond du Lac.
During the stop, deputies learned the operator was linked to suspected drug trafficking and was already on parole for drug related convictions. A search of the 58-year-old’s vehicle found crack cocaine and marijuana.
The suspect did provide additional information that suggested a residence in the city of Waupun was connected to drug activity. Waupun Police and sheriff’s deputies searched the home and seized approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine, six grams of powder cocaine, 528 grams of THC, and $2,000 of suspected drug money.
Authorities say most of the drugs taken were individually packaged in smaller saleable quantities, clearly possessed with intentions to sell them. The Waupun man is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on new charges of Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine.
Law enforcement say this is a good example of diligent follow up and working collaboratively to hold a known distributor responsible for selling dangerous drugs throughout the area.
