Waupun will host a Single-A American Legion Regional Baseball Tournament today through Sunday at Gus Thompson Field. Action starts at 4pm Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday. Waupun, Horicon, Mayville, and Belleville will be competing for a trip to the Wisconsin American Legion Single A State Tournament July 29th to August 2nd in Viroqua.
“We got four teams in Horicon and Mayvllle and Horicon has played us really tough this year. They have a nice team. We had to beat them in the 7th both times this year.” Waupun Post 210 coach Derrick Standke told DailyDodge.com. “We’ve beaten Mayville twice. Belleville is kind of a new team throughout legion baseball as a whole. They had a great high school season. I believe they lost to Deerfield in the Regional Final. They played Beaver Dam pretty tough up here in the legion season. I expect a good weekend of ball here in Waupun.”

Game 5: 4pm – Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4
Sunday, July 24th
Game 6: 1pm Winner – Game 4 vs Winner Game 5
Game 7: 3:30pm – If necessary, depending on bracket
