Waupun Football Looking To Improve This Spring

The Waupun High School football program continues to work hard during this alternate football season.

Head Coach Ron Walters is in his first season coaching the Warriors and he told DailyDodge.com that his team is using this spring season as a chance to continue to get better.

“It’s been very successful.  We’ve been accomplishing the little accomplishments we want to achieve.  We’re staying positive.” Walters said. “We have a very inexperience team so every time we play it’s a great step forward to move on to this next fall.”

Senior Carson Bresser has done it all this season for the Warriors; throwing for 269 yards and a pair of TDs.  He’s also run for 107 yards and a touchdown, kicked four field goals and also has an interception on defense.  Senior Tristian Garibo has run for 117 yards and a TD while junior Lucas Meyer has 116 rushing yards.  Senior Wyatt Paul has grabbed seven passes for 140 yards and a TD and also has registered a sack on defense.

Waupun (0-4) will travel to Omro (4-0) on Friday night at 7pm.

The Warriors after playing road or neutral site games all spring, Walters says their last two games against Laconia and North Fond du Lac will be played in Waupun.
