Waupun Christian Home Now Part Of Agnesian

6/1/17 – The Waupun Christian Home is now owned by Agnesian HealthCare. The official papers were signed were signed on Monday and the affiliation is effective as of today. The facility was established 75 years ago when officials with several local churches identified a need for a long-term care facility. Agnesian HealthCare and the Christian Home first came together in 2012 after establishing a management and services agreement to help further develop the center’s programs. In March, a vote by members from 16 local governing churches approved the partnership. Barb Wirkus will stay on as the Christian Home’s Executive Director. Steve Little, Agnesian HealthCare president and chief executive officer, says the affiliation will (quote) “ensure that the community of Waupun has excellent assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing for the next 50-plus years.” The Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center, which is located on Bly Street in Waupun, offers a variety of care services that includes: The Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center, which is a licensed skilled nursing facility; The Christian Living Center, which is registered assisted living apartments; and The Christian Homestead, a licensed community-based residential facility specializing in memory care services.
