(Waupun) The Waupun Area Chamber has announced an update to the schedule of summer community programs. This update includes the announcement that the Waupun Area Chamber Farmers Market will run from 8am to noon on Saturdays in June through the end of September, with hand sanitizing stations being made available. The Chip-In for the Chamber golf scramble has been rescheduled for Tuesday July 28th at the Rock Golf Course with registration being available online at the chamber website WaupunChamber.com. Volksfest, a German inspired festival, has been canceled and will relaunch in 2021. Chamber executive director Casey Despres commented on the cancelation saying “Distancing and hand hygiene practices are easy to maintain at the farmers market and golf outing, but at an event that thrives off of large numbers of community members sharing a dance floor and being in a common space, the board made the difficult decision to cancel Volksfest.” A full schedule of events can be found on the chamber’s page on Facebook.
