Waukesha Sophomore Designs State Park Sticker

A sophomore at Waukesha South High School has won the D-N-R’s annual contest to design next year’s state park admission stickers. Holly Jo Cegielski’s design featured marshmallows being roasted over a tall campfire. The sticker provides vehicle access to over 60 state parks, forests, and recreation areas. The stickers went on sale Saturday. And the next contest is already underway to design the 2014 state park decals. It’s open to Wisconsin ninth-through-12th graders, and entries are being accepted by the D-N-R from now through next April 17th.
