Watertown Woman Heading To Trial For Overdose Death

(Watertown) Probable cause was found yesterday Thursday for a Watertown woman to proceed to trial on charges she supplied the drugs that led to an overdose death. Debra Patroelj is facing one felony count of First Degree Reckless Homicide. Patroelj is implicated in the January 2016 overdose of 16-year-old John Teuteberg. The 49-year-old allegedly sold the victim a half dozen methadone pills. The charge carries a maximum 40-year prison sentence, if convicted. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for May 9.
