Watertown Man Found Guilty Of Possessing Child Porn

(Watertown) A Watertown man was found guilty Monday of possessing illicit images of children. Jared Osborn entered a no contest plea to a felony count of Child Pornography. Eight additional counts were dismissed but read into the record.

A Watertown police officer began investigating a CyberTipline report made against two Google accounts that uploaded illegal images last July. The accounts were tied back to Osborn.

When the 31-year-old was brought in for questioning, he asked if this was involving (quote) “child stuff.” Osborn reportedly admitted to searching for the illicit content and attempting to save it in a draft email on his google account.

Osborn faces up to 25 years in prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 27th.
