Watertown Man Arrested For Crashing Snowmobile While Intoxicated

(Town of Shields) A Watertown man was arrested early Thursday morning after crashing his snowmobile while intoxicated. The 27-year-old was operating the sled on Highway Q near Walton Road in the Town of Shields around 4am when he entered a plowed field and was ejected. He was transported to Aurora Hospital in Summit with non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested for Operating a Snowmobile While Under the Influence. Sheriff Dale Schmidt encourages riders to enjoy snowmobiling activities as long as they are sober. He says drinking while operating a snowmobile can quickly turn tragic. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Watertown Fire and Paramedics.
