(Watertown) Watertown Regional Medical Center is now part of ScionHealth. The hospital was a member of LifePoint Health, which announced last year plans to acquire post-acute provider Kindred Healthcare. As part of that acquisition, the companies created ScionHealth. The new health system’s founding facilities include 61 long-term acute care hospitals from legacy Kindred Healthcare and 18 of LifePoint Health’s community hospital campuses.
Watertown Regional Medical Center CEO Richard Keddington says being a founding facility for a new health system is exciting, and their team looks forward to having more targeted resources and collaboration opportunities. He says their transition to ScionHealth will be seamless for patients, providers, and employees.
There will be no changes in the hospital’s day-to-day operations and the leadership team will also stay the same. Keddington adds that their facility continues to have access to resources to invest in its team and community as well was support to accelerate its ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare.
