Waterloo Girls Volleyball Headed Back To State

The Wateroo girls volleyball team earned a trip to the WIAA Division 3 State Tournament with a 3-0 win over Kenosha St. Joe’s in the Sectional Final on Saturday night.  The host Pirates won the match 25-17, 25-19, 25-23.  Brooke Mosher led the way with 19 kills, 15 assists, eight digs, and four blocks.  Joslyn Wolff added 10 kills and 12 digs.

This will be Waterloo’s 2nd straight trip to the state semifinals and 5th overall appearance at state.  The Pirates won back to back D3 championships in 2014 and 2015.

Waterloo gets the #2 seed will face #3 Fall Creek in a D3 State Semifinal at 4pm on Saturday at Wausau West High School. Top seed Howards Grove and #4 Osseo-Fairchild will play in the first D3 Semifinal at 1pm.  The Division Three State Championship Game will be played the same day at 7:30pm.
