The Waterloo girls volleyball team heads to Wausau West High School on Saturday for the WIAA Division Three State Volleyball Tournament. The Pirates punched their ticket to state with a 3-0 win over Kenosha St. Joe’s in the Sectional Final this past Saturday night. Waterloo will square off with Fall Creek in a D3 State Semifinal at 4pm on Saturday afternoon. The other state semifinal features defending champ Howards Grove and Osseo-Fairchild square off at 1pm. The winners will face off in the state championship later that night at 7:30pm.
It’s Waterloo’s 2nd straight trip to the state semifinals and fifth overall appearance at state. Waterloo won back to back D3 titles in 2014 and 2015.
