Water, Sewer Hookup Agreement For New Beaver Dam Kwik Trip Advances

(Beaver Dam) A developer’s agreement for the new Kwik Trip that will be constructed on Beaver Dam’s south side made its way through committee this week. The company purchased the land across the street from its current facility on Madison Street, the former John’s Bar, for its new location. A professional services agreement was also approved that would extend water and sewer along Madison Street to the new fueling station. Kwik Trip is responsible for 100-percent of the cost of the installation. However, Kwik Trip would receive up to 50-percent of that money back if the 13 township properties along Madison Street are ever voluntarily annexed into the city. That’s because those property owners would be responsible for up to half of the cost of the water and sewer line installation. Final hook-up would not happen until the new facility is annexed from the Town of Beaver Dam into the city. The matter is advancing to the full common council after passing the city’s Operation’s Committee and Plan Commission this week.
