Walker Accused Of Breaking Campaign Promise

10/15/11 – Governor Scott Walker is being accused of failing to keep a campaign promise, by not paying the full cost of his state pension until August. During the campaign the governor had said he would begin paying for his pension when he took office. An Association Press open records request revealed Walker failed to do so until the new state law forced him to. A Democratic party spokesman said Walker is asking state workers to do what he will not. Next month, Democrats, state unions and others say they will start collecting signatures to force a recall of the governor for next year.
