VolunteerDodge.net Partnership With United Way Successful

(Beaver Dam) Officials with the United Way of Dodge County discussed their recent partnership with VolunteerDodge.net when they were our guests recently on WBEV’s Community Comment. Until recently, VolunteerDodge is an online platform geared towards connecting people to local volunteer opportunities. The website, which was initially launched in September of 2017, was spearheaded by Trinity Church following an assessment of community needs that stressed the need for volunteers at many local non-profit organizations. During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, website coordinator Linda Chipman told u there was no better organization to take control of the service which aligns perfectly with one of United Ways three pillars of volunteering. The platform is available free of charge with users completing a profile to receive recommendations on ways to serve based on their interests and abilities. Chipman says United Way is committed to their mission and will give the website several years to grow and expand. The United Way of Dodge County is in the midst of their annual fundraising campaign with the goal of raising 280-thousand dollars for 20 local non-profits.
