Veterans Invited To Breakfast, Program Friday At Beaver Dam High School

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam High School students are inviting servicemen and women and their families to a free program Friday (11/9) to honor and acknowledge their service and sacrifice. The Veteran’s Day Breakfast is hosted by the National Honor Society. Akshay Kalra, president of the Beaver Dam chapter, says the program will include three student speakers and a veteran. There will also be a school-wide moment of silence. With the new overhaul of the campus, there was an opportunity to change the format of the annual event. Kalra says following the breakfast in the cafeteria, a program will be held in the much more intimate auditorium. In years past, the program was held in the gymnasium. The Veteran’s Day Breakfast at the Beaver Dam High School will start Friday at 8:45am. There is no shuttle bus this year but parking is available near the new main entrance to the high school.
