(Beaver Dam) There is a new face on the Beaver Dam School Board. The vacancy was created by the recent departure of Laura Lerwick, who moved out of the district. The board had previously conducted five interviews of interested community members and worked through a two-phase voting process Monday night. An initial ballot narrowed the field to a pair of finalists and then each board member chose one candidate through a signed ballot. The top two vote getters were Mary Kuntz and Dan Kuhnz. Mary Kuntz was the majority “vote getter” and will begin serving at the March 8 meeting. Over the next few weeks, she will go through a three-part orientation process. Kuntz will serve through April of 2022.
