UW Extension Office Offers Pesticide Application Training

(Juneau)  Two training sessions have been scheduled for Dodge County farmers whose pesticide applicators certification has expired or for first time applicators.  This training program allows attendees to acquire their General Farming Private Applicator’s License.  Each training session will begin at 9am and last until 3:30pm and conclude with an open book examination.  Cost is $45 and includes the training manual, one resource book, and a catered lunch.  Registration and fees are due in person at least 7 days prior to the testing dates of Friday February 7th or Wednesday March 11th.

Self-study recertification is also available, allowing those with expired licenses to study the book and schedule a testing appointment in advance with the Extension Dodge County office.  Cost for the self-study program is $30 which includes the General Farming Training Manual.  Registration for self-study recertification must be done in person at least one day prior to the date desired for testing.
