Unbeaten Randolph Girls Volleyball In Quarantine

The 4th ranked and unbeaten Randolph High School girls volleyball team went into a two-week COVID-19 related quarantine earlier this week because of a close contact with person who tested positive.   The Rockets are 15-0 on the season and are scheduled to open up Regional play as the #1 seed next Thursday against either Dodgeland or Ozaukee.  Rockets head coach Jeff Kohlbeck tells DailyDodge.com that they contacted the WIAA and were told that their JV squad will be able to take the place of the varsity for the Regional Tournament.  If they would advance to the Sectional, the varsity roster would be allowed to return and continue the playoff run.

The Rockets have already clinched a share of the Trailways Conference title but their upcoming match with Pardeeville has been rescheduled to November 3rd.

The WIAA also announced that the “culminating event” or state championship games for each division will not be at the Resch Center in Green Bay this year.  Instead each division will most likely play the their championship games at individual venues.

The Randolph girls volleyball team was ranked #4 in the mid-season Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Division 3 State Rankings.
