(Palmyra) Two people were killed following a single vehicle crash in Jefferson County over the weekend. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene on Highway 106 near the town of Palmyra around 8:24pm.
The preliminary investigation showed that the vehicle was heading north on 106 when it lost control and entered the ditch. The vehicle struck a culvert which caused it to overturn, and one of the two occupants was ejected. Authorities say both occupants succumbed to their injuries on scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
