Two Men From Fox Lake Killed In Single Vehicle Accident Near Slinger Tuesday Night

(Washington County) The two people killed in a single vehicle accident near Slinger Tuesday night were from Dodge County. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to Interstate 41 between Highway 60 and Highway 144 in the Town of Polk just before 10pm. Authorities say 66-year-old James Debny from Fox Lake and 55-year-old Daniel Luedke also of Fox Lake were ejected from a Ford Mustang and found lying on the interstate. One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was flown to Froedtert Medical Center and pronounced deceased. The preliminary investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team indicates that the vehicle entered the median for an unknown reason, crossed both lanes of traffic and drove into the guardrail, ejecting both Debny and Luedke; they were not wearing their seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation.
