Two Injured In Town of Auburn Crash

(Auburn) An Oshkosh woman is facing charges after injuring herself and a passenger in a rollover crash in the Town of Auburn Saturday night. Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 9:15pm to Double D Road and Lake Drive.

The investigation shows that a southbound vehicle on Double D Road failed to negotiate a curve and traveled into the east ditch, then struck a power pole before coming to a rest on its roof. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle was on fire before being quickly extinguished by a nearby witness.

The driver, 28-year-old Lisa Hogan, sustained serious injuries. Thirty-one-year-old Shane Vis of Campbellsport, who was a passenger, also sustained serious injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital while Hogan was later air lifted to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center.

Neither one was wearing a seatbelt. Authorities say speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Hogan is facing charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Causing Injury along with several traffic violations.
