Two area coaches are among 50 finalists for the U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach Program. Beaver Dam Girls Basketball Head Coach Tim Chase and Dodgeland Track and Cross Country Coach Kevin Klueger were nominated along with seven other Wisconsin coaches. Chase who is in his fourteenth of coaching at Beaver Dam says this is an honor. The public can vote for their favorite coaches through October 8 on www.TheMostValuableCoach.com. WNBA All-Star Maya Moore and Green Bay Packers wide-receiver Randall Cobb will also help determine the winning coaches based on the positive impacts they have on their players, school and city as well as their leadership qualities. The final 15 coaches will be announced on October 11 with U.S. Cellular donating $5-thousand dollars to their schools. The three finalists will receive donations of $10-thousand, $20-thousand and $50-thousand dollars respectively. The first place coach will also be awarded a Samsung tech prize package valued at $30-thousand dollars. The winners will be announced on November 20.
