(Beaver Dam) Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam is coordinating another Truck to Trunk dairy, meat and produce distribution opportunity this week. The event is a collaboration between the hospital, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, the United States Department of Agriculture and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. The program provides residents with surplus produce, meat and dairy products and is open to everyone but there is a limit of one box per vehicle. Pre-packaged boxes will include shredded pork, meatballs, hot dogs, scrambled eggs, milk, sour cream, cottage cheese, sliced cheese, potatoes, oranges, peeled carrots, onions and apples. Distribution will be at the Dodge County Fairgrounds on Tuesday (November, 24th) from 1pm to 4pm. The public is asked to not exit their vehicles at any time, use the Fabisch Road entrance and follow directions of posted signs and to have room in your vehicle’s truck. Residents in need who lack transportation can contact Beaver Dam Public Transit at 920-885-4800 on Tuesday morning to schedule the delivery of a food box to their home.
