Trial Set To Begin Monday For Waupun Man Accused Of Murdering His Grandmother

(Waupun) The trial of a Waupun man accused of murdering his grandmother will get underway Monday. Gregory Spittel is facing a number of felonies including First-Degree Intentional Homicide, Aggravated Battery, and False Imprisonment.

Carol Foreman was reportedly found in the basement of the suspect’s home with serious head injuries in August of 2019. The 75-year-old died four days later. Officers initially responded to the residence for a medical call. Spittel was reportedly drunk and screaming when they entered.

The 33-year-old allegedly confronted and threatened them. The trial is slated to wrap up on Friday.
