(Dodge County) Kim Ritchie was recently recognized as Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Hero for her countless hours of service to the community. The honor was presented during a Modern Woodmen of America event at the end of April, with Ritchie (pictured right) being presented with a certificate and $100 award grant to be donated to the charitable organization of her choice. Ritchie is the director of Transitions a local non-profit program that helps individuals and families in transition. Assisting them with items such as clothes, personal hygiene products, kitchen utensils, towels, beds and bedding, as well as supplies for infant care. Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Hero Program gives the organization a way to thank those who selflessly give their time to make the world a better place.
