Tramburg Named NACC Defensive Player Of The Year

Fall River alum and current Wisconsin Lutheran College senior, Kelly Tramburg was recently named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Defensive Player of the Year in women’s basketball.  The 2016 Fall River graduate was also named 1st Team All-NACC after averaging 12 points per game this past season for the Warriors.  Tramburg was also 3rd in the conference in both three-point shooting and free throw percentage. She knocked down 39.4% of her attempts from beyond the arc and also connected on 77.6% of her free throw attempts.  Tramburg scored in double-figures in 15 of the Warriors 24 games this season.  She tied her career high with 21 points in a win over Aurora on January 25th.   Wisconsin Lutheran finished the season at 19-8 overall and 15-5 in NACC action, which was good for third place.  The Warriors lost in the NACC Conference Tournament Semifinals to Edgewood College.

While at Fall River, Tramburg was a three-time WBCA First Team All-State selection and was Honorable Mention All-State at a freshman.  She was a 1st team All-Trailways South pick all four years in high school.  Fall River went to the WIAA State Tournament two times during Tramburg’s time on the team.
