4/19/17 – A large shed in the Town of Trenton was destroyed by fire yesterday morning. Crews were called to the John Ganske property at N9334 County Road A just before 9:30am. Beaver Dam Fire Chief Alan Mannel says the 50-foot-by-200-foot structure was fully involved upon arrival. An engine from Fox Lake was the first on-scene and controlled the fire with three hose lines before the flames could spread to nearby structures. The fire was contained before the roof collapsed but was nonetheless a complete loss estimated at $81-thousand dollars. The shed contained lawn tractors, and several other farm implements. Initially, one of the occupants of the property was unaccounted for but was soon located safe. There were no injuries. An investigation was conducted but at this time Mannel says the cause is listed as undetermined. Beaver Dam received mutual aid from Burnett, Fox Lake, Horicon, Juneau, Waupun and the Dodge County Sheriff Office. Watertown EMS and Hustisford Fire covered the city while all other units were committed to the fire. The scene was cleared after around three hours.
