(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 5,095 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 74,658 active cases in the state, a decrease of 575 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 19.9-percent of the 374-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 296-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 62 deaths bringing that total to 3,240. Deaths account for point-nine-percent (.09) of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says around 260-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 70 deaths, and 8,149 cases to date. The county had 105 negative tests returned, for a running total of 32,971. Washington County reported one death for a total of 69 deaths along with 128 new cases for a running total of 8,531 cases.
Fond du Lac County has seen four more deaths for a total of 50, with 8,154 positive tests on record. The state reports Jefferson County has added two more deaths for a total of 37 deaths and 5,142 cases to date. There have been 10 deaths in Columbia County and 101 new cases resulting in 3,327 positive tests to date. Green Lake County now has six deaths and has 1,161 cases on record.
