(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,755 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 27,729 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,032 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 5.8-percent of the 477-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 444-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 35 deaths bringing that total to 4,818. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 334-thousand people were from the United States.
One death was reported in Dodge County Wednesday bringing the total to 121 people and 10,356 cases a one-day increase of 47 positive tests. The county had 107 negative tests returned. Active cases continue to decline with 387 current cases.
Washington County has seen 97 deaths – up two – along with 11,594 cases to date; 965 active cases. Fond du Lac County has reported another death, the toll stands at 67 with 10,334 positive tests on record; 536 are active cases. The state says Jefferson County has seen 57 deaths and 6,551 cases to date; with 389 active cases. Columbia County has recorded two deaths, for a total of 30, and has had 4,173 positive tests; currently the county has 180 active cases. Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,385 cases on record, with 85 cases reported in the last two weeks.
