(Waupun) Three people were injured in a three vehicle crash Sunday evening near Waupun. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a head-on collision around 6:10pm on State Highway 49 east of County Highway YY in the town of Leroy.
A Waupun woman was driving westbound with a juvenile passenger when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle that entered her lane, and then rear-ended.
The juvenile was taken by ThedaStar helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries.
The Waupun woman driving the eastbound vehicle was flown by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Waupun woman driving the westbound vehicle was transported by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Waupun man driving the third vehicle was not injured.
State Highway 49 was closed for approximately three hours.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Brownsville Fire Department and First Responders, Mayville EMS, Fond du Lac Paramedics, Flight for Life helicopter, ThedaStar helicopter, Mayville Police Department, Theresa Police Department, and DCERT.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
