Three Arrested Following Dodge, Fond du Lac County Chase

3/1/17 – Three men were taken into custody after a high speed pursuit in Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties late Tuesday morning. State Patrol Sergeant Andrew Hyer says it started when a trooper in an unmarked squad tried to pull over a car for speeding on Highway 49. The suspect vehicle traveled up Interstate-41 into Fond du Lac County and – at times – was on Highway 151, Fond du Lac County Highway B and Highway 175 before getting back on Highway 49 and ending up in Brownsville. Eventually, all three men were taken into custody the last at gunpoint when he was found lying near the deck of a home. Sergeant Hyer says the suspect’s vehicle was driving recklessly and at fast speeds. He says they ran some stop signs and at one point speeds reached over 100 miles an hour. At the end of the pursuit, one man was taken into custody near the car while two others fled on foot, but were soon captured. They were taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. No one was injured during the chase. Dodge and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Departments, the State Patrol and Brownsville Police were involved in the pursuit.
