Sun Prairie Man Jailed For Dodge County OWI Injury Crash

(Westford) A Sun Prairie man was sentenced Tuesday to 150 days in jail with work release privileges for injuring another motorist in a drunk driving accident in Dodge County. Daniel Pickhardt pled no contest to a felony count of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Injury Second Offense. Two additional misdemeanor drug charges were dismissed but read into the record. The crash occurred October 2nd around 5pm in the Town of Westford. Pickhardt apparently lost control of his truck on County Road G and spun out. He was then rear-ended by a woman who complained of back pains and said she would be going to the doctor the following day. Pickhardt had a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit for driving at point-one-six-eight (.168). The 56-year-old was also placed on probation for three years.
