(Jefferson County) The Wisconsin State Patrol will begin aerial enforcement missions in the area beginning Wednesday. Officials say the goal is to use aircraft and ground-based officers to enforce speed limits and other traffic laws. State patrol aerial missions will take place today along the I-39/90 corridor in Dane County, along I-94 in Jefferson County Thursday and along I-39 in Marquette County July 24th. The State Patrol analyzes data on traffic citations, crash reports and related information to identify highway corridors for enforcement initiatives. When pilots detect speeders, aggressive or reckless drivers, they contact ground-based units to initiate a traffic stop.
