State, Local COVID Friday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 733 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 9,816 active cases in the state, a decrease of 276 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 1.8-percent of the 557-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 541-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 18 deaths bringing that total to 6,232. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 489-thousand people have died in the United States.

Dodge County has experienced 154 deaths and 11,340 cases, a one-day increase of four positive tests. The county had 87 negative tests returned for a running total of 39,585. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 123 people.

Washington County has seen 129 deaths along with 13,630 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has seen 89 deaths with 11,846 positive tests on record; 181 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County has 76 deaths and 7,785 cases to date; with 65 active cases.

Columbia County has seen 50 deaths and 4,973 positive tests; there are 67 active cases.

Green Lake County has 18 deaths with 1,520 cases on record; 21 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
